you see how you draw a single thing but then you try to expand it without knowing what even is going on and you make up the situation while you draw? this is one of those.

Still no idea what could even be going on but it was fun drawing this

i know no one would care but ehh, it is my newgrounds news post, might as well use it as a blogging thing.

Just wanted to write my thoughts on Linux as someone that knows shit about computers an an artist because i see everyone complaining about everything microsoft and ai and bla bla bla.

Oh yeah, and also this cool new video by james lee

I was not expecting him to talk about linux, but is cool seeing more artists talking about it

Now im not here to make linux propaganda or ads, just sharing my expirience because i can.

Ive been using Kubuntu for half a year, so far my expirience is really good and im very happy.

I still have a windows dual boot partition thing just in case, but tbh i havent used it.

Now, reason why i had an easy time getting into linux is because i already use FOSS software for my stuff (Krita Blender and uhhh yeah thats it)

Gaming has not been an issue either, although i dont game a lot to be fair, but every game i wanted to play worked fine with steam and Heroic Games launcher.

So far my favorite thing is visual customization, i have chosen a distro with KDE because i like changing the visuals of my interface a lot, and KDE makes it easier for me, and being honest, customizing my desktop made me feel something i didnt felt since windows XP and 7, something i didnt knew i lost when using windows 10, jesus fucking christ windows 10 doesnt even let you freely choose an accent color, "nooo dont choose a color thats too dark, or too bright or too saturated, please jus choose a nice shade of corporate gray" and i can change THE ICONS?!?!? AND THE TASKBAR?!?!?! AND THE WINDOW DECORATIONS?!??! HOLY SHIT I CAN HAVE A GIF AS A WALLPAPER WITHOUT INSTALLING 3RD PARTY SOFTWARE!??!?!?

Anyways, software wise, every windows-only program i tried running worked fine using Bottles (compatibility software) only takes a couple tutorials the first time but after that things go pretty smoothly in my expirience, i haved used Affinity Design, stream tools like Streamer Bot and Sammi, everything with little to no issues.

Literally the only thing i have tried doing on linux but not being able to do it has been playing fortnite because friends invite me, game is perfectly capable of running but theres this anticheat thing that could get me banned for playing on linux for some reason, so i used my windows partition for that, thats it, thats the only reason i had my windows partition, but guess what? i realized updating a game i only play when friends invite me to takes too long on pc (i have to leave it updating overnight) but it only takes 15 minutes on my phone, yeah, sure, playing on mobile is a bit more annoying than using keyboard and mouse, but i just want to pass the time with friends and laugh a little, not actually play, so thats the least of my concerns. There was a short period of time when roblox did a similar thing, but someone made a program named Sober to run the android version of roblox on pc, so no longer need my windows partition for that either.

Im no linux fangirl, i dont use arch btw and i dont want to touch a terminal ever, but i like it.

I know linux and its comunity are a little scary, but if anyone is contemplating giving it a try and need to know an opinion from an artist that is heavily reliant on GUIs and scared of terminals, yeah i say you should do it, it is worth giving it a try, is not as scary as people both from inside and outside of the community makes it look like.

Hello! Happy hollidays everyone!

For the past 2 years ive been experimenting with the bristle engine, and i made a simple bundle of my favorite brushes ive been using almost exclusively for about a year.

Now, yes, the bristle engine is very simple, but my main idea for these brushes is making a brush without anti-aliasing. Since there is no “turn off anti-aliasing” button in the bristle engine brushes settings i kind of got it by accident by messing around the “ink depleition” settings.

So this bundle has 3 simple brushes:

❀ Bristle Line ❀ (yellow)

This one is a brush for fine lineart and very textured lines

✿ thick Bristle Line ✿ (blue)

This one is for a more opaque thick line

❃ FUNNI BRISTLE ❃ (green)

This…well is kind of a chaotic brush i was not gonna include at first for being too “gimmicky”, but after some time i found myself having a lot of fun sketching with this one.

The way it works is that the brush shape is constantly rotating, if you use a drawing tablet, the more you press on your tablet the less control you have on the line shape. It gives a very interesting effect.

I understand this might not be the best brush for anyone, but i wanted to include it anyways because if i had fun with it maybe someone else could have fun with it too.

Anyways, please have fun wth my brushes, and feel free to give feedback and let me know about your expirience using them

Here are some images of my own art made with these brushes:iu_1324118_7434213.webp
